Wonka-land: New pictures of Chris Martin's lavish Charlie And The Chocolate Factory themed party at his Malibu home show the extreme lengths he went to in order to set the scene
The biggest stars in Hollywood
were out in force on Friday for Chris Martin's 40th birthday party.
And new pictures of the lavish bash at his Malibu home show the extreme
lengths the Coldplay singer went to in order to set the scene for the evening.
An ariel snap of the celebrations sees a large marquee erected in the
star's back garden as well as a host of sweet coloured table and chairs.
Adding to the playful nature of the scene, giant toadstools and lollipops - staples in Willy Wonka's factory - have been transported into the grounds. A towering sign in the back garden reads Pure Imagination - one of the songs from the movie - which was covered by Coldplay last year following the death of Gene Wilder.
It is believed a whole day was spent erecting the props and decorations
before the guests arrived.
Orlando Bloom, Aaron Paul, Javier Bardem, Julia Roberts, Robert Downey Jr., and his wife Susan were among the stars at the birthday boy's over-the-top party.
Beyonce, her husband Jay Z, James Corden, Rob Lowe, Matt Bellamy, and
Shane Warne were also in attendance at the star-studded bash as well.
The Lord Of The Rings actor, 40, was ready to party in style in his
flashy shirt, black jacket, and trousers.
