Senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway has sparked a social media storm after pictures emerged of her kneeling on the sofa in the Oval Office with her shoes on.
Ms Conway is seen clutching her phone as US President Donald Trump poses with leaders of historically black colleges and universities.
Twitter users accused her of "disrespect".
Ms Conway was taking her own photos at the time.
"That's no way to act in the People's Oval Office," tweeted one user of the social media site.
"Think of all the great people who sat on that couch and put your feet down," wrote another.
The images led some to question Ms Conway's body language, suggesting that she was not taking the meeting on Monday seriously.

How to Install a Custom Male Lacefront Wig (Video)

Lewis Hamilton

Male lacefront wigs give hope to millions of men who are genetically predisposed to premature balding. If your father or grandfather is bald or has a receding hairline, chances are you will lose your hair early.
The good news is there is help for men who don’t have tens of thousands of dollars to pay for hair plug implants like Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James.
Custom lacefront wigs for men, also known as male units, are affordable alternatives for men who want a realistic full head of hair like Formula 1 race car driver Lewis Hamilton (pictured above).

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has an official launch date

Last year's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were enormously popular: REUTERS/Albert Gea

Samsung has revealed that its next flagship smartphone will launch on 29 March.
The Galaxy S8 had been expected to make its first official appearance at MWC 2017, but the company decided to delay it because of the fallout surrounding the disastrous Galaxy Note 7.
The Galaxy S8 is heavily rumoured to be an 5.8-inch handset, though a 6.2-inch S8+ is also likely to launch alongside it.
Both phones will allegedly feature an “infinity display”, said to cover 83% of their front panel, enabling Samsung to keep them relatively compact.
They'll also come with an iris-scanner, a 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel selfie camera, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
The S8 and S8+ are also expected to be IP68 dust- and water-resistant and support wireless charging, as well as feature a new AI virtual assistant called Bixby capable of speaking up to eight different languages.

Emotional Viola Davis goes overtime in a tearful and rambling speech as she accepts first Oscar

Without a script: Viola, 51, broke down in tears as she opened her speech, which went overtime, with a metaphor about a graveyard

Viola Davis most certainly swung for the fences when it came to her Oscars speech.
The actress, who won her first Academy Award on Sunday night, delivered a long and rambling speech after nabbing the Best Supporting Actress gong for Fences.

Viola, 51, broke down in tears as she opened her speech, which went overtime by over two minutes, with a metaphor about a graveyard.

Jennifer Aniston, Emily Ratajkowski, Kate Hudson and Kate Upton rule the red carpet in racy plunging gowns as they lead the glamour at the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscars bash

It is one of Hollywood's most dazzling bashes - with a coveted invite saved for the creme da la creme of the showbusiness world.
So the stars were naturally keen to stand out as they swept the red carpet at Sunday night's 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills - with busty beauties leading the way.

Hollywood beauties Jennifer Aniston, Emily Ratajkowski, Kate Hudson and Kate Upton all ensured they turned heads as they swept into the bash in typically sensational fashion.

Michelle on her way out of SoulCycle

Michelle Obama put her legs -- and possibly those of her Secret Service agent -- through the paces Sunday in Washington, DC.
We got Michelle on her way out of SoulCycle. Looked like she had a decent workout, but check out the agent covering her. No dark suit and shades on this guy ... and based on his gear, we'd say he got in some cycle time too.
Our DC sources say Michelle and her Secret Service agents used to get private classes, but now she spins with the public.
Fitness was always her thing while in the White House. Now that she and Barack are back from their extended vacay ... she's clearly back in the saddle.

Jessica Biel, Emma Stone, Chrissy Teigen and Dakota Johnson sparkle in metallics as they walk the star-studded Oscars red carpet

One hot mama! The stunning Sports Illustrated covergirl looked white hot in her long trained gownSheer sparkle: From the diamonds stacked at her wrists, to the sequins sewn into her gown, Nicole was seriously bedazzled

Beyond the intoxicating sparkle and glitz of the red carpet, the Academy Awards is about one simple thing - taking home a coveted Oscar.
And it seems that fact inspired the women of Hollywood, at least when it came to picking out their gowns for Sunday's ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
From Jessica Biel's glimmering Kaufman Franco creation to Dakota Johnson's golden Gucci gown, the iconic statuette's influence was obvious.

Indeed even Emma Stone - eventual Best Actress winner for the musical La La Land - chose the metallic shade for her fringed flapper-style custom-made Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown.

Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway WRONGLY name La La Land best picture as producers are forced to stop their speech and hand statue BACK to rightful winner Moonlight in extraordinary scenes

Warren Beatty was forced to explain the mishap as the cast of La La Land handed over their Oscars to the producers of Moonlight on stage

A backstage official with a headset rushed on to the stage with the correct envelope. Executives from Price Waterhouse who tally the Oscar results realized there was a problem when Dunaway read out the name La La Land
A backstage official with a headset rushed on to the stage with the correct envelope. Executives from Price Waterhouse who tally the Oscar results realized there was a problem when Dunaway read out the name La La Land

There was disaster at the Oscars on Sunday night when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway wrongly announced La La Land as the winner of Best Picture, rather than the triumphant Moonlight.
In a heart-stopping moment, the stars and producers of La La Land were stopped midway through their acceptance speeches and forced to hand their trophies to the stars of Moonlight.
The terrible end to an otherwise triumphant show left the audience gasping in horror as Beatty revealed he had incorrectly read 'La La Land' as the winner.
Beatty blamed the epic mishap on being given the wrong envelope, saying he had seen the name Emma Stone from 'La La Land' when he opened his envelope.
'I want to tell you what happened I opened the envelope and it said Emma Stone, La La Land and that is why I took such a long look at Faye and at you. I wasn't trying to be funny. This is Moonlight for best picture,' Beatty told the shocked crowd as he explained the blunder
