Former TV entertainer Rolf Harris has been cleared of indecently assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
But the 86-year-old could still be convicted of attacking the girl when
she was older.
Harris still faces six counts of indecent assault and one count of
sexual assault, allegedly taking place between 1971 and 2004 when Harris was
aged between 41 and 74.
He was today found not guilty of assaulting the youngest of his alleged
victims when she was 12.
The jury decided she must have been over 13 at the time of the alleged
offence.
However the jury has still not reached a verdict on an additional count
against the same victim which alleges he attacked her when she was under 16.
Harris is alleged to have assaulted the young autograph hunter at Radio
Victory in Portsmouth in the summer of 1977.
At Southwark Crown Court the foreman announced they still could not
reach unanimous verdicts on the remaining seven charges against Harris.
Judge Alistair McCreath gave the jury a majority direction.
