Kim Kardashian and Kanye West reportedly hired a surrogate to carry their third child. The power couple already have two children, daughter North West, 4, and son Saint West, 18 mos.
Kim’s doctor warned her that carrying a 3rd baby would endanger her health as she suffers from placenta accreta, where blood vessels from the placenta grow too deeply into the uterine wall.
Kim and Kanye probably decided to be honest and open about hiring a surrogate after seeing the public backlash Beyonce Knowles received when it was revealed that a surrogate carried her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 5.
According to TMZ, the reality TV star and her rapper husband reached a deal with a surrogate agency to pay a total of $45,000 in 10 affordable installments of $4,500 each month.
If there are multiple babies, the surrogate will receive an extra $5,000 for each additional child, and she gets an extra $4,000 if she loses her reproductive organs.

She has also agreed to forgo sexual activity for three weeks after embryo implantation.According to the site, the agreement provides that Kim and Kanye, who paid a deposit of almost $69,000 to the agency, “assume the legal and parental responsibilities for any child.”During the reality show, Kim’s mom Kris Jenner offered to serve as her surrogate and her sister Khloe visited a doctor to see if she was a viable candidate, but the appointment made her realize she wanted her own family instead.
